Academic enrichment (Æ)

Where subjects connect, learning comes alive

Sometimes things are better when you make a connection! Our timetabled interdisciplinary Academic Enrichment (Æ) sessions bring two subjects to life, encouraging students to make connections across disciplines, and linking with special time set aside during the exciting schedule of cultural trips and excursions.

Imagine History and Maths coming together to add insight when visiting the fascinating world of wartime codebreaking at Bletchley Park, or Design Technology and Economics applied to a visit to Warwick Universities WMG building and National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC).

We believe that enriching what you discuss in the classroom with inspiring real-world visits – particularly when drawing together elements from different academic subjects – makes for stronger and longer lasting learning impressions. The world is complex and multi-layered, so the application of learning should be too.
